Students, parents, and educators from Yasıköy Minority Primary School visited Athens as part of a three-day educational and cultural excursion aimed at introducing participants to the capital’s historical, cultural, and institutional heritage.

The program, which saw strong participation, offered students and accompanying families the opportunity to explore key landmarks and gain firsthand experience of Greece’s democratic and cultural institutions.

As part of the visit, the group toured the Hellenic Parliament, accompanied by Rodopi Independent MP Özgür Ferhat. During the visit, participants received information about the functioning of the legislative institution and observed aspects of the country’s parliamentary system.

The delegation also visited the Acropolis, one of Athens’ most iconic historical sites, where they learned about its ancient heritage and cultural significance. Throughout the trip, students took part in various educational and cultural activities, including a visit to the city’s zoo, where they observed different animal species.

The three-day program concluded with a guided city tour covering several major landmarks in Athens, providing participants with a comprehensive cultural experience.

Commenting on the visit, MP Özgür Ferhat expressed his satisfaction in hosting the group in the capital. He noted that attending the program held special significance for him, as he was once a student of the same school and now his son also attends it.

“It was a great honor for me to welcome our guests at the Parliament and take part in the program throughout the three days. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this meaningful trip and helped create a spirit of unity and togetherness,” Ferhat said.
