Students from Mufti Office of İskeçe visit Selanik on cultural and educational tour
Students from the Paşevik Qur’an Course, operating under the Mufti Office of İskeçe, took part in a cultural and educational excursion to Selanik, exploring key historical landmarks and science institutions in Greece’s second-largest city.
Exploring History and Culture
As part of the organized program, students visited several of Selanik’s most notable attractions, gaining first-hand insight into the city’s rich historical and cultural heritage.
The tour included:
- Museum of Illusions Selanik, where students engaged in interactive and educational exhibits
- Atatürk Museum Selanik, offering historical context about the founder of modern Türkiye
- Students were introduced to key historical narratives, enhancing their understanding of shared regional history.
Ottoman Heritage and Landmarks
The itinerary also featured visits to prominent Ottoman-era sites, including the Heptapyrgion (Yedi Kule), allowing students to explore the architectural and cultural legacy of the period.
The program continued with a visit to the iconic White Tower of Selanik, one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks.
Science and Astronomy Experience
In addition to cultural exploration, the students participated in a science-focused activity at the NOESIS Science Center, attending the “Touch the Stars” planetarium show. The session provided an immersive introduction to space and astronomy, combining education with visual storytelling.
