“Stories written by volunteers are always permanent” Xanthi mufti says

In his speech, Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa said that people came to Komotini by moving with their hearts and crossing the mountains in the events of January 29 and that this story they wrote wholeheartedly is still being told years later.

Mufti Trampa stated that the spirit of January 29 should be conveyed to the youth and stated that they tried to explain the spirit of January 29 to the youth of middle and high school age with the January 29 Workshop held in Şahin village as the Mufti of Xanthi on Saturday, January 28. Stating that they received very positive feedback from the young people, Müftü Trampa stated that they would continue activities aimed at young people.

The speech of the Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa at the 29 January and Its Reflections Event is as follows:

“Very esteemed Consul General of Komotini and esteemed lady,

Dear attendants, I greet you all with respect and reverence.

A Turkish thinker says: “Man should have a story. Because the story creates the culture of the person. Culture also identity. With that identity, man expresses his own existence. Today, our brother Musa Vidinli, our brother Galip, Mrs. Hülya, young Burak, and the virtuous Mufti expressed so... Everyone talked about a story. These stories that are created and lived are a reason for our existence today.

I would also like to say a story or a moment let's say:

We have a magazine published by us in memory of January 29. We have reserved this issue for January 29. Insha Allah you will get it on the way out. There is a statement from one of the Balkan villages:

“We got down from the villages to the bus stop. The police entered the bus and said, 'All Muslims should come down. One of them didn't get off. When the police asked him why he didn't get off, he said, "I'm Turkish, that's why I don't get off." Of course, we couldn't find out who he was. One of our balkan villages. The person who told us this could not remember who he was either. He said he was from a different village. This is how we came to these days.

Our brother Burak made a good point about the youth. On this occasion, I would like to commemorate an important young brother, Ali Salihoğlu, from the village of İskeçe İnhanlı, who left a story in this community and we lost him. May Allah treat him with his mercy. We offer our condolences to the ITB and FEP Party community. Ali was in charge of both groups. But he was a volunteer. This is why I say it: Let me express it in connection with the events that took place before 1988: Dear friends, events usually develop like this; You either make a mental decision or you put yourself out there wholeheartedly. Those events of January 29, 1988 and 1990, and the events that took place during that period, especially in the events of the Mufti, all people put their hearts into these events. If you had done these things in your mind, you could not have done it. Why is that? Because the mind is a pragmatist thing. It stops you at some point. Wait, what are you doing? You are expelled, but there is a party that you belong to. What will they say to you? You may not be a member of parliament in the next elections. Or look at the regional secretary general, you can get a warning right away. A series of such stories unfolds before you. Such is the mind. But when you put your heart into it, the stories that volunteer people write in this society are always permanent. There is no benefit in them. It does not calculate the plus or minus. That spirit, this spirit that existed at that time, brought us to where we are today. Well, let me explain in a few sentences why I gave the example of our brother Ali a little while ago: Ali Salihoğlu was not highly educated. He did not have a diploma, but took part in all institutions voluntarily. He extended his hand to everyone. He ran everywhere. Social media collapsed after Ali's death today. Because Ali volunteered and appealed to everyone's heart while doing it. He didn't appeal to people's mind mind. Let's put that aside.

So what are we doing today?

We are an open society. We used to be a closed society. Musa Vidinli just told it. Mehmet Emin Aga, yes, was a leader. It was charisma. It was authority. At that time, he made good use of the advantages of being a closed society. Mr. Galip expressed that region very well. Mehmet Emin Aga did not live in Xanthi. When he went to the villages, he would stay for a week. He used to stay at people's homes. Every house would have a guest, he would go. When this happened, Aga just called out and all Xanthi was destroyed. Regardless of mountain, stone, hill... This is not a matter of logic, is it? In other words, you will take off from Şahin and descend from the hills to Yassıköy. From there you will come to Komotini through the fields. If we sit down and say that we will do this at the table in a meeting today, we will drag people, will there be such a result? If you do something with the heart, if you, the person in front of you, your leader, the person who is in the foreground, do this, such results will occur. There is social media today. We do this with social media. How should we act? We usually say it, I also expressed it in BTTADK the other day. We say that we should give importance to the youth here. Let's explain. We have made such an application. On what can be done. This is what I'm going to say, maybe one of a hundred activities that should be done. We did an activity, an event in Xanthi yesterday. We told children, middle school and high school age children about January 29. Have we done too much? No. Did we say too much? No. Three or five more or less what was told here were told to the children. Explained in language they can understand. Something like this came up. Hüseyin Baltacı was also there.

We distributed photos to the children. The photos we distributed were just shown here. We already bought it from BAKEŞ. At the end of the activity, we said to the children: You listened to the speeches, you look at the photos, reenact those days, what do you think? Flip the photos over and write your thoughts. Those kinds of things came out. Thoughts are written. We invited the children to the stage. We said read it. They hesitated at first, and eventually everyone lined up so that everyone would read it too, and incredible things came out. In my opinion, we should describe these events in this way. If we can't reduce January 29 to middle school high school age levels, who will tell what to whom tomorrow is another question mark. Therefore, I think what needs to be done is after this stage, yes, this is the center as the Advisory Board. This event is traditional. It will continue. It should, but besides, we should reduce this January 29 spirit to the youth, that is, to the secondary school levels. If we cannot reduce this spirit, other things will work on those children's spirits. With these feelings and thoughts, I greet you all. Thank you.”
