Sevil Şerifoğlu, Zeynur Bargan attend the International Balkan Women Symposium
Xanthi Turkish Union (ITB) Vice-President Sevil Şerifoğlu and Western Thrace Turkish Women's Platform Spokesperson and Xanthi Turkish Union Women's Section President Zeynur Bargan attended the "11th International Balkan Women's Symposium" organised by the Women's Commission of the Romanian Democratic Turkish Union in Constanta between 22-24 September.
The symposium with the main theme "Turkish Women in the Balkans in the 100th Year of the Republic of Turkey" was organised in three sessions. Speakers from Romania, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria and Greece presented their papers in three sessions.
The subject of the first session was "100th Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic" and the subject of the second session was "Balkan Turks' Migration and Expulsion Stories". The subject of the last session was "Balkan Turkish Women in the Field of Art and Science".
At the 11th International Balkan Women's Symposium, Sevil Şerifoğlu, Vice President of the Turkish Union of Xanthi and Zeynur Bargan, Spokesperson of the Western Thrace Turkish Women's Platform and President of the Women's Section of the Turkish Union of Xanthi also presented papers on the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace and women.
