Serious warning from Yassıköy Municipality!
Yassıköye Municipality warned residents of the municipality against possible fires. It called for the necessary cleaning work to be carried out in order to take precautions.
Yassıköy Municipality has both warned and called on the residents of the municipality to carry out the necessary cleaning works in order to take precautions against possible fires with the warming of the weather and the approach of the hot summer months.
In the call, it was reminded that the fire fighting period covers the period between 1 May and 31 October, and the obligation to clean the areas that may cause fire between 1 - 30 April was reminded.
In the urgent call made by the municipality, the cleaning works that those concerned are obliged to carry out are listed as follows:
Cutting and removal of dry and broken trees and branches as well as branches in direct contact with buildings.
Removal of flammable plant residues such as dry leaves, grasses and branches on the soil surface.
Pruning of trees
Reduction of bush density.
Removal of abandoned flammable, explosive materials and objects.
MONEY FINE
If the inhabitants of the municipality responsible for cleaning do not do so, the municipality will impose a fine of at least 200 euros and 50 cents per square metre.
It will also continue to clean these areas on its own initiative and will charge the costs of cleaning and removal of materials to those responsible.
