Teacher Semiha Sadikoglu from Xanthi passed away. Semiha Sadikoglu, who was a teacher for many years from the villages of Gencerli and Kireççiler in Xanthi, passed away on Wednesday, 5 July.

Born in 1945, Semiha Sadikoglu completed her primary school education at Xanthi Central Turkish Minority Primary School and then went to Trabzon Beşikdüzü Primary School. Then she transferred to Istanbul Ortaköy Teacher Training School and graduated from there in 1965. Semiha Sadikoglu returned to Western Thrace and started teaching at Gencerli Turkish Minority Primary School in 1966. After working there for 11 years, she was transferred to Kireççiler Turkish Minority Primary School. Sadıkoğlu, who worked at Kireççiler Primary School for 29 years, was retired in the 2005 - 2006 academic year. Sadıkoğlu educated hundreds of students during her 40 years as a teacher.

Semiha Sadikoglu, who had health problems recently, passed away on Wednesday, 5 July. Sadikoglu will be buried today (Thursday, 6 July) after the second prayer in Arenmahalle in Xanthi where she resided.

In the statement released by the Western Thrace Turkish Teachers' Union on the death of retired teacher Semiha Sadikoglu, condolences were expressed to the deceased, her family, students and loved ones.
