Secretary General of Tourism Policy and Development visits Sapes

The Secretary General for Tourism Policy and Development at the Ministry of Tourism, Ms. Vasiliki Koutsoukou, visited the town of Sapes, where she held a meeting with the Mayor of Maroneia-Sapes, Apostolos Ioannou, along with key municipal officials.

According to Mayor Ioannou, the visit provided an excellent opportunity for a meaningful discussion on the municipality’s development prospects in the tourism sector. 

The focus was placed on alternative tourism, the utilization of the area’s natural and cultural wealth, and the need for strategic interventions to boost the local economy.

During the meeting, the municipality presented its proposals and priorities. 

Both sides expressed a shared commitment to moving forward with planning, collaboration, and vision.

Mayor Ioannou expressed his sincere thanks to Ms. Koutsoukou for her visit, her genuine interest, and her willingness to support efforts to promote the region as a distinctive tourism destination.
