Regaib Night observed in Western Thrace
The blessed three holy months, heralding the arrival of Ramadan, began on January 1, 2025. The first holy night, Regaib Night, was observed on the evening of Thursday, January 2.
Mosques across Western Thrace, under the jurisdiction of the Xanthi and Komotini Muftiates, hosted Regaib Night programs. The programs included the recitation of the Quran and Mevlid-i Şerif, along with heartfelt prayers.
The Advisory Board of the Muslim Turkish Minority of Western Thrace shared a message stating, "May Regaib Night bring blessings to the Muslim Turkish Minority of Western Thrace and the entire Islamic world."
Komotini Mufti Ibrahim Şerif at Tuzcuköy
Ibrahim Şerif, the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority and the Komotini Mufti, attended Regaib Night at Tuzcuköy Mosque.
In a social media post, Mufti Şerif shared:
"This evening, we observed the blessed Regaib Night in Tuzcuköy, one of Komotini's villages. During the night, marked by the recitation of the Quran and Mevlid-i Şerif, we offered prayers and sought forgiveness from Allah. May Allah accept our prayers."
Xanthi Mufti Mustafa Trampa at Mustafçova
Xanthi Mufti Mustafa Trampa and his delegation observed Regaib Night in Mustafçova village. Participating in a program organized by the muftiate, Mufti Trampa offered a special prayer following the Mevlid-i Şerif and enlightened the congregation about the significance of the night.
In a social media post, Mufti Trampa stated:
"This evening, we were blessed to celebrate Regaib Night in Mustafçova, one of our beautiful villages, with an overwhelming turnout. We are grateful for their warm hospitality. May our night be filled with blessings. Happy Regaib Night to all, inshallah."
