Public health and social assistance week events ongoing in Rhodope
Led by Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Regional Governor Christodoulos Topsidis, the week’s activities began on Monday, November 11, 2024, with a discussion on bullying at Hemetli Primary School. Later that evening, a seminar on domestic violence was held in Komotini. Events will continue throughout the region until November 17, 2024, aiming to raise awareness on physical and mental health.
Deputy Regional Governor for Rhodope, Emmanouil Tapatzas, invited all citizens to join the activities, describing the week as “an excellent opportunity to gain insights from health experts as we work to improve the region’s quality of life.”
The week’s activities include open discussions on bullying, promoting blood donation awareness, uniting children of all abilities through sports, providing information on domestic violence prevention, raising disease prevention awareness, and addressing elderly needs.
