Özgür Ferhat : "Fire-affected students should be facilitated in university entrance exams"
The New Left Party, led by Rodopi MP Özgür Ferhat, requested the support of the Minister of Education for the families and especially the students affected by the fire disaster in August.
In the parliamentary question submitted together with other MPs, Rodopi MP Ferhat emphasised that this tragedy due to the violation of the government has affected the daily lives of the cognates.
He requested that the university entrance exam, which was applied last year to senior high school students in the Palini region of Athens, should also be applied to students from the fire victims in the Rhodope region.
Stating that the recent economic difficulties and natural disasters have affected thousands of citizens, as well as hundreds of students studying in their schools, MP Ferhat said: "For these reasons, state aid is essential. Government support is necessary in order to support our students and their families, while at the same time healing the wounds of our compatriots who are personally affected by the damage."
The Green Left Party MPs put the following question to the Minister of Education:
Do you plan to provide facilities to the students residing in Şapçı and Yassıköy Municipalities who will take the university entrance exams?
