Only 3 out of 10 MPs in Thrace vote for the law on same-sex couples
"NO" voted for the law on same-sex couples by Southwest MPs Euripides Stylianides (Rodopi), Tasos Dimochakis (Evros), Dimitris Kyriazidis (Drama) and Yannis Paschalidis (Kavala), while Stavros Keletsi (Evros) chose abstention. In opposition, minority MPs Hüseyin Zeybek (NEAR) of Xanthi, Baran Burhan (PASOK) and Ozgur Ferhat (NEAR) of Rodopi abstained from voting on the law on same-sex couples. The deputy of El. Solution Evros, P. Papadakis, as did the whole party.
Only 3 out of 10 MPs from Thrace voted for the law, and a total of 8 out of 17 MPs from AMTH.
What happened in Parliament on Thursday night
The abstentions from the ND side were 45 to 50. That is, one third of the ruling party's MPs did not support marriage equality. According to reports, 107 MPs voted 'yes' to the bill, 20 voted against and 31 abstained. At ministerial and deputy ministerial level, Voridis, Keletsi, Kefala and Bougas abstained.

The 31 Southwestern Democrats who abstained: Dionysis Aktypis, Giannis Andriano, Lakis Vassiliadis, Kostas Vlasis, George Vlachos, George Voridis, George Georgantas, Giannis Giacius, Andreas Zambilis, Thanasis Kavvadas, Giannis Kallianos, Dimitris Kalogeropoulos, Mark Kafouros, Stavros Keletsi, Maria Kefala, Manos Consolas, Giorgos Kotronias, Dimitris Kouvelas, Spyros Koulkoudinas, Giannis Lampropoulos, Pericles Mantas, Notis Mitarakis, Katerina Monogyiou, Giannis Bougas, Christos Boukoros, Giannis Economou, Giannis Papasotiriou, Stelios Petsas, Thanos Plevris, Christodoulos Stephanadis, Angelos Syrigos.
From the SYRIZA side, Pavlos Polakis and Otto Iliopoulos abstained, while Nina Kasimatis voted "present". Alexis Tsipras voted in favour and then withdrew.
No one from PASOK voted against. PASOK abstentions were 11: Liakoulis, Henaris, Kazan, Poulas, Michaelides, Paraskevaides, Staraka, Konstantinopoulos, Baran, Panas, Nicolaides.
The New Left, gave 9 votes in favour and 2 abstentions from the minority MPs, Ozgur Ferhat and Hussein Zeibek.
The KKE voted in favour or was present on articles promoting some modernisations concerning both same-sex and heterosexual couples
