New Left President Haritsis pays visit to Xanthi Minority Secondary School-High School
Alexis Haritsis was accompanied by Hüseyin Zeybek, New Left MP for Xanthi and representatives of the party in Xanthi.
Haritsis, President of the New Left Parliamentary Group, was welcomed at the entrance of the school by Ozan Ahmetoğlu, Chairman of the Xanthi Minority Secondary School - High School Board of Councillors, members of the Board of Councillors, Bingül Tuzlacı, President of the Parent-Teacher Association and administrators, Selçuk Fehmi, Principal of the school and Evangelia Steryannidu, Vice Principal.
Ozan Ahmetoğlu, Chairman of the Xanthi Minority Secondary School - High School Board of Councillors, thanked Alexis Hariçis and the accompanying delegation for visiting the school. Giving information about the school to Hariçis, Ahmetoğlu stated that the most important problem of the school is the building problem and explained the demands for the solution of the problem. Ahmetoğlu stated that in order to solve the problem radically, the school must have a new building and until then, they want the classrooms to be relieved with prefabricated classrooms or other alternative solutions and the possibility of shift education should be eliminated. Ozan Ahmetoğlu gave a written report to Alexis Haritsis on behalf of the Council Committee, including the problems and demands of the school.
New Left Parliamentary Group President Hariçis received information about the current situation and the working system of the school from the School Administration, the Board of Councillors and the PTA. Hariçis thanked for the hospitality shown and said that they will contribute together with the regional MP to solve the problems faced by the school.
During the visit of Alexis Haritsis and the accompanying delegation to the school; Ozan Ahmetoğlu, Chairman of the Board of Councillors, Ersan Ömer and Hasan Boşnak, Members of the Board of Councillors, Bahri Belço, Secretary of the Board of Councillors, Bingül Tuzlacı, President of the PTA, Özlem Otuzbir, Secretary General, the school administration and some teachers were present.
The Board of the Council thanked Alexis Haritsis, President of the New Left, and the accompanying delegation for their visit to the school and wished them success in their duties.
