Nazmi Arif: “Terrible pressure was applied”
Varoufakis' MeRA25 party continues to draw attention with its "pressure" on Turkish Minority parliamentary candidates.
The MeRA25 party removed Nazmi Arif, one of the Rhodope parliamentary candidates, from its list of candidates.
Making statements on the subject on his social media account, Nazmi Arif said, "Some members of the local organization of the Mera25 Party turned against me from the very first moment of my candidacy and applied terrible pressure until the party's candidate evaluation commission gave up."
Noting that his candidacy for the Mera25 Party is no longer valid with the party's decision, Nazmi Arif made the following statements in his statement:
TERRIBLE PRESSURE WAS APPLIED
"Some members of the local organization of the Mera25 Party turned against me from the very first moment of my candidacy and applied terrible pressure until the party's candidate evaluation commission gave up.
Among the funny accusations in the messages and protest letters sent to all officials of the MERA25 party, my past relationship with the DEB party, and my membership in the Avramopoulos (KEP) party, which was dissolved before its establishment, are among the baseless allegations.
DISTURBING THE GREEK DEEP STATE
"By the way, it is also stated that in the messages sent against me to the MERA25 Party officials, there are political lies and slanders that have nothing to do with the truth.
By the way, the announcement that I am a parliamentary candidate from the Mera25 Party, because they know me as a fierce human rights fighter, it has created a great turmoil in the state and serious concerns and it has created great discomfort in interests and oligarch circles. This situation honors me as much as it saddens me.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has stood by me from the moment my candidacy was announced and thought to vote for me by sharing the dream of a better tomorrow.”
