Mufti's Office of Xanthi distributes bagels to children
On the occasion of Berat Kandil, on Saturday evening, 24 February, the Mufti's Office of Xanthi distributed bagels to the students of the Qur'an courses.
In the statement made by Mustafa Trampa, Mufti of Xanthi, he said: "As the Muftiate, we attach great value to our children, the guarantee of our future. Most of our time is spent on creating projects on how to raise them better. Our Kandil bagel gift is also an issue we thought on the occasion of Berat Kandil. Such programmes will continue in order to touch the hearts of our youngsters, to create religious and national consciousness, and to keep our customs and traditions alive. Maybe it is a small gift, but its meaning is great. We saw this in the joy of our students and we felt peaceful. On this occasion, we would like to thank our religious officials who took part in this organisation."
The bagels, which were distributed to our children all over Xanthi, were also welcomed with great appreciation by the public.
