Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa warns about the fire
Mustafa Trampa, Mufti of Xanthi, made important warnings regarding the fire disaster in our region.
In the statement issued by the Muftiate of Xanthi with the signature of Mufti Trampa, it was emphasised that some precautions should be observed.
The statement is as follows
"Dear brothers and sisters,
Surrounded by the Rhodope Mountains, our beautiful Western Thrace, which is like a green paradise with its forest and plain, has unfortunately been facing fires for three or four days. It is not only our forests that are burning, but our oxygen, which is our vital need, is also disappearing. The biggest reason for this is human beings. It is as if man is cutting the branch he is riding on and preparing the end with his own hand.
For this reason, please act with a sense of responsibility in this regard;
* Let's protect our nature, which is entrusted to us by our Lord and is our living space. In the words of the Qur'an; let us not disturb the measure that has been set. If the measure is disturbed, the order is also disturbed and we all see the damage of this.
* Let us keep our environment clean. Let's not say "I didn't throw it, what do I care!". Whoever threw it away is at fault, but if we clean it up, as the Prophet (s.a.s.) said, this good behaviour of ours is considered a sign of our faith and we will earn the reward of charity.
* Let's not waste our rivers. Especially in such a period, wasting water will be the greatest evil we will do to ourselves and our neighbours around us. Because we cannot extinguish the fire at the beginning of a possible fire, and maybe we will cause big fires that will lead to disasters from a small fire.
* When travelling by car, do not throw cigarette butts, plastic or glass bottles out of the window. Both cigarette butts and glass bottles are likely to cause fire. Especially nowadays, when everything is dry and the wind is blowing strongly, we should pay attention to our breathing as much as we care about our breathing and we should pay attention to this. "No one sees you anyway, what will happen?" we say to such a behaviour based on the devilish thought, we say; "Does Allah not see you either!" we are warning.
* In these days when the possibility of fire is high, let's take a break from picnics. Let's not walk in forest areas. Let us remind you that especially today (Tuesday), a level 4 alarm has been issued by the authorities. Accordingly, we should be very careful.
* God forbid, but in case of a possible fire; we should have water that we can use first. In addition, in order to prevent the spread of fire; tools such as pickaxe, shovel, axe should be prepared. We should also always have an extinguisher. Let's not forget, fire is caused by a tiny spark. If early precautions are taken, we can stop the spread of the fire and prevent it from causing bigger disasters.
I wish a speedy recovery to all those from Alexandroupoli to Xanthi who are facing the great fire disaster, and I ask God to protect us from such disasters. Also, may Allah be pleased with all our brothers and sisters who rushed to the aid of the fire victims from the very first time with the announcement we made, despite the late hours of the night."
