Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa publishes a message on Mirac Night

Referring to the earthquakes in Türkiye in his message, Mufti Trampa said, "As the Muslim Turkish Minority of Western Thrace, we have considered it our duty to do our best, materially and morally, since the first day, to share the pain of our earthquake-stricken brothers and to heal their wounds to some extent."

The Mirac Night message of Mustafa Trampa, Mufti of Xanthi, is as follows:

Dear Muslim Turkish Brothers!

We are experiencing the peace and joy of having attained the blessed Mirac Night, one of the nights that gives importance and meaning to the blessed three months we are in. The night that connects Friday, February 17, 2023 to Saturday, is the Mirac Night. In this blessed night full of wisdom, messages and good news, the events of Isra and Miraç took place.

“Blessed is Allah, who took his servant one night from Masjid al-Haram to Masjid al-Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, so that we might show him some of Our signs. Surely, he is Hearing, Knowing.” (Isra:1)

The Miraç event, which took place about a year and a half before the Hijra, has two stages:

In the first stage, The Prophet is taken from Masjid al-Haram to Masjid al-Aqsa. This stage, which the Qur'an mentions, is called Isra, which means night walk.

The second stage constitutes the ascension of the Prophet from Masjid al-Aqsa to the maqam called sidretu'l-munteha, which even the angels cannot reach. This event, known as Miraç, is described in detail in hadiths.

According to the information given in the hadiths; on the night that was mentioned, Jibril (pbuh) took the Prophet from Masjid al-Haram and took him to Masjid al-Aqsa on a horse named "Burak". From there he was raised to the heavens. During this ascension, The Prophet was blessed with the grace of witnessing Paradise and its blessings, Hell and its torment, and being accepted into the presence of Allah.

After this Mirac miracle, by launching an intense campaign against the Prophet, they began to defame, accuse and ridicule him. Ultimately, they appealed to Abu Bakr. Hz. Abu Bakr said, "Is this the Prophet Muhammad saying?" asked. "Yes!" When he got the answer: "If he is reporting, it is certainly true. Because he is Muhammedü'l-Amin. He has never spoken a lie!" says. After this event, Mr. Abu Bakr was given the title of "siddiq", that is, sincerely confirming and confirming.

Dear Brothers!

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) returned from Miraj to his ummah with three great gifts. The first of these gifts is the five daily prayers, which our Prophet called "the light of my eyes". Prayer is the manifestation of the strong bond of faith between Allah and the servant. Prayer is the spiritual ascent of the believer who turns his face towards the qibla and puts his forehead in prostration. Prayer is not just a form. On the contrary, prayer is an act of worship that encompasses the mind and heart as well as the body. A person who performs prayers is also a person with good morals, honest, humble, merciful, and expected to be just. That is why it is stated in the verse, "Indeed, prayer prevents indecency and evil."

Another gift of Mirac; These are the last two verses of Surat al-Baqara, which we know as "Amenerrasulu" and read every day after the night prayer. These verses remind us of the principles of faith, the consciousness of servitude and the awareness of responsibility. It states that everything we do in the world has an account. It teaches us how to pray and make supplications to our Lord sincerely.

The last gift of Miraj is the good news that those who do not associate partners with Allah from the Ummah of Muhammad will have their sins forgiven and eventually enter Paradise.

We can get rid of all the disasters and epidemics that instill fear in humanity with our prayers to Allah on the occasion of Mirac Kandili.

Dear Brothers,

We were shocked and deeply saddened by the news that two very severe earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.7 and 7.6 occurred in Kahramanmaraş, our motherland, Türkiye. Since the day of the earthquake, we have stood by our brothers with all our financial and moral means. The fire burned not only the place where it fell, but also the hearts of all of us.

As the Muslim Turkish Minority of Western Thrace, we have considered it our duty to do our best, materially and morally, since the first day, to share the pain of our earthquake victims and to heal their wounds, even to a small extent. We gave salah in all mosques of Xanthi after the night prayer on Monday, when the earthquake took place. On Friday, February 10, we recited the Qur'an and prayed for the souls of those who died in the earthquake before the Friday prayer in all our mosques, and performed the funeral prayer in absentia after the Friday prayer. And also; We gave great support to the aid campaign initiated by the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board. I would like to express my gratitude to all our teachers, institutions and organizations who have worked with great devotion, especially to you, our community, who supported this campaign. God bless you all. Finally, we will also pray the hatim campaign that we started for the souls of those who died in the earthquake and all our pasts on this night of Miraç.

On this occasion, I wish God's mercy on those who lost their lives and a speedy recovery to the injured. For the sake of the three months we are in and the blessed night of Miraç that we have revived tonight, may our Almighty Lord not cause us such pain again. May our Lord protect our motherland Türkiye, our nation, the Islamic world, and all humanity from earthquakes, floods, fires, and all kinds of disasters. May our Mirac Night be blessed."
