We will experience the beauty of realising and fulfilling Regaib Kandili together."
The message of İbrahim Şerif, Elected Mufti of Komotini is as follows "Dear Western Thrace Muslim Turkish Brothers and Sisters,
On Friday, 12 January, we will reach the blessed season of the three months, in which the mercy, forgiveness and forgiveness of our Almighty Lord are pouring down in torrents and the blessings and abundance are intensified. We thank our Almighty Lord and welcome these blessed days with the prayer of our Prophet (s.a.s.): 'O Allah, make the months of Rajab and Sha'ban auspicious for us and bring us to the month of Ramadan.
The first Friday night of the month of Rajab, the first of the three months, is Regaib Kandili. On the night of 11 January Thursday to Friday, we will observe Regaip Kandili. These nights are the moments when the unity and solidarity of Muslims are strengthened, love and affection spread among us, and we adopt a way of life in accordance with the verse of our Almighty Lord 'Hold tightly to the rope of Allah (Qur'an) collectively and do not be divided and divided.
Dear Muslim Brothers and Sisters,
Regaip means much sought after, abundant mercy and blessing, much grace and bestowal. For this reason, Regaip Kandili is a night when Allah's mercy and forgiveness surrounds the believers who sincerely pray and supplicate to Him. Our Almighty Lord accepts the repentance and prayers of His servants for the sake of this blessed night and forgives the sins of those who commit many sins with His divine mercy and forgiveness. Allah Almighty (swt) says in the Holy Quran: "Pray to me and I will answer your prayer". Our Prophet (s.a.s.) also said: 'There are 5 nights that the prayers made on these nights will not be rejected. The first Friday night of the month of Rajab (Regaip), the 15th night of the month of Sha'ban (Beraat), Friday nights, Ramadan and Eid al-Adha nights.
Dear Brothers and Sisters
Life flows like water. Yesterday has passed with its mistakes and rewards. It is not possible to bring back the days that have passed. We have no guarantee that we will live the days to come. The evaluation of today is in our hands. By taking advantage of the spiritual climate of the blessed days and nights, we should know the value of the time we are in and try to fulfil our duties of servitude properly. These blessed days and nights are unique opportunities to recover ourselves, to question ourselves and to adjust our behaviour.
During the three months and the nights of Qandil, let us take care to remember our Lord more and to bring salât-u salutations to our beloved Prophet. There are some of our spouses, friends, relatives and friends who were with us last year who could not reach this night. Let us endeavour to fulfil our duties in the way Almighty Allah wants us to fulfil them, considering that this night may be the last night for us as well.
Reverend Brothers and Sisters
The three months and blessed nights we will observe should remind us of our duties and responsibilities towards our Lord, our family and our society, and should be an occasion for us to repent of our mistakes and sins. In addition, in such periods of time, the hearts of the elders should be taken, the memories of our spouses and friends should be asked, the strangers and orphans should be looked after, and those in need of help should be helped. Resentments, resentments, personal interest accounts should be put aside, tolerance, brotherhood and unity should be in solidarity.
This year, as the Mufti's Office, we are organising programmes in our Komotini Kır Mahalle, Yassıköy, Menetler, Kozlukebir, Yahyabeyli, Küçük Müsellim, Hemetli and Ahrenpınar mosques in order to celebrate the three months and the nights of Qandil in a more enthusiastic and meaningful way. We will experience the beauty of realising and fulfilling Regaib Kandili together.
Dear Brothers and Sisters
May God Almighty make the months of Rajab and Sha'ban blessed for us and bring us to the month of Ramadan. On this occasion, I congratulate the blessed three months of the Muslim Turkish Minority of Western Thrace and the Regaib Kandili which we will observe, and I pray to Allah Almighty that it will be instrumental in the salvation of the entire Islamic World and humanity."
