MP Baran addresses the problems of Xanthi Minority Secondary School and High School

In his speech in the parliament, Xanthi PASOK MP Burhan Baran also touched upon the problems of Xanthi Minority High School and Secondary School.

In his speech during the budget negotiations, Burhan Baran, PASOK-KINAL MP for Xanthi, stated that "Equality for all in education is a fundamental principle in the establishment of modern education systems". He gave examples describing the problems of Xanthi Minority Secondary School and High School.

During the 2024 budget negotiations, MP Baran took the floor of the parliament and mentioned the problems experienced in Xanthi Minority Secondary School High School and said the following:

"Equality in education for all is a fundamental principle in the creation of modern education systems. However, there is often a long way to go from the recognition of a right to its realisation.

I am talking about the Minority High School of Xanthi, which provides education in a building that does not have the necessary technical features and does not ensure the hygiene and safety of students and teachers. After the changes made by the SIRIZA government, which were certainly not in the best interest of the school, the current government continues the same model of abandonment and devaluation without slowing down.

In addition to the security problem, this situation directly affects the students who spend 1/3 of their daily time in this building and the quality of education provided to them. Therefore, an urgent and radical solution to the problem must be found without further delay."
