Miraj Night message from Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa

Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa issued a message on the occasion of Mirac Night.

The following statements were made in the message:

"Dear Muslim Turkish Brothers and Sisters!

One of the nights that give importance and meaning to the blessed three months we are in is the night of Mi'raj. We are experiencing the peace and joy of having reached this blessed night together. The night connecting Tuesday 06 February 2024 to Wednesday is Mi'raj Kandili. On this auspicious night, which is full of many wisdom, good news and gifts, the miracles of Isrâ and Mi'raj occurred. This miracle, which occurred about a year and a half before the Hijrah, has two stages. In the first stage, the Prophet (saas) was taken from Masjid al-Haram to Masjid al-Aqsa. This stage was named Isrâ, which means night walk. Regarding the miracle of Isra, which constitutes the first part of this miracle, our Almighty Lord said the following in the Holy Qur'an:

"Glory be to Allah, Who took His servant one night from Masjid al-Haram to Masjid al-Aqsa, around which We have blessed him, that We might show him some of Our signs. Verily, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing." (Isrâ, 17/1)

The second stage is the Prophet's ascension from Masjid al-Aqsa to the place called "sidret al-muntaha", which even angels cannot reach. This event, called Mi'raj, is described in detail in the hadiths.

Dear Brothers and Sisters!

As a necessity of the worldly test, everyone faces some troubles. Our Prophet, who is an example for us, also faced some troubles, but he endured them all. Two of them upset him deeply and caused the year of these events to be called "the year of sorrow". The death of his wife Hazrat Khadija, who was the Prophet's greatest supporter, and his uncle Abu Talib, who protected him, within a short period of time, made the Prophet extremely sad. The Prophet's failure to find what he had hoped for in Taif, where he had travelled with a new hope, and being subjected to great insults by the people there was one of the events that strained his patience.

After a period full of such troubles, Almighty Allah (swt) honoured His Prophet with the miracle of Mi'raj as if to comfort him. Mi'raj, which is one of the most meaningful and greatest miracles in which our Prophet (s.a.w) ascended to the presence of Almighty Allah, is an unlimited horizon of ascension opened to humanity in the person of the Messenger of Allah. This ascension is realised through prayer, which is the fundamental pillar of the religion of Islam and a Mi'raj gift to the believers. That is why prayer has become the Mi'raj of the believer. Just as our beloved Prophet (PBUH) met with Almighty Mevlâ on the Mi'raj, we, as believers, appear before our Lord in our prayers without any intermediaries and without the need for any intermediaries, and we find the opportunity to serve only Him and to ask for His help only from Him.

Another gift of Mi'raj is the last two verses of Surat al-Baqarah. These blessed verses, which begin with "Amenerrasûlü" and are recited as mihrabiyyah after the Isha prayers, express the faithfulness of the believers in their beliefs.

The third gift of Mi'raj is the promise that those of the Prophet's ummah who do not associate shirk with Allah will be forgiven. So, let's pay attention to these opportunities offered to us and endeavour to do things that will deserve paradise, which is the best of the gifts on this blessed night. Let us be sincere believers who will make progress towards the Almighty, not people who will be called "asfeli safilin". Let us pray together for the end of the persecution of our Muslim brothers and sisters in Palestine, where the miracle of Mi'raj took place. Let us struggle for the world, which has discarded human values, to be reacquainted with rights, law and morality. Let us build a world where children and all innocent people can live in peace. Thus, let us bring the happiness coming from Mi'raj to our whole world.

With these feelings and thoughts, I congratulate you all on Mi'raj Qandil and I pray to the Almighty to bring us to many more Qandils in health and prosperity."
