On April 2, 2026, the Mucize Theatre High School Ensemble—operating under the Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association—took to the stage for a highly anticipated season premiere, captivating audiences with a vibrant performance in İskeçe.

A Musical Comedy Classic Reimagined
The ensemble staged the beloved musical-comedy Hisseli Harikalar Kumpanyası, originally written by renowned Turkish playwright Haldun Dormen. This fresh adaptation was directed by Senemahu Topuz, whose creative vision brought renewed energy to the classic production.

The performance, held at the İskeçe Indoor Amphitheater, marked the group’s first show of the season and drew a large and enthusiastic audience.

Strong Attendance from Community Leaders
The event was attended by prominent figures, including Türkiye’s Consul General in Komotini, Aykut Ünal, alongside his wife İlayda Ünal. Also present were Mustafa Trampa, Chairman of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board, as well as members of the board and representatives from various institutions.

Gratitude and Growth Highlighted in Speeches
In her opening remarks, WTMUGA President Zeynep Tevfikoğlu expressed gratitude to the Mucize Theatre team, technical crew, performers, and supportive families, while also thanking the audience for their strong turnout.

Director Senemahu Topuz emphasized the ensemble’s steady growth, noting the valuable contributions of new team member Sevcan Hacı Ali, particularly behind the scenes.

Closing the evening, Consul General Aykut Ünal congratulated the entire cast and crew for their dedication both on stage and backstage.

A Young Cast Takes Center Stage
The production featured a talented cast of high school students, including Hüseyin Hacıimam, Dilara Kayra Hatip, Aksu Veli, Beyza Dedeoğlu, Yaren Küllü, Yusuf Karadayı, Nisa Feratoğlu, Semih Onbaşı, Ayşe Çıtak, Zeynep Betül Ergen, Rasiye Şabanoğlu, Mehmet Baltacı, Oğuzhan Ahmetoğlu, Umeyr Kabza, and Beyazıt Avcı.

Selin Alibaşoğlu served as prompter, while Azra Malkoç hosted the evening.

Behind the scenes, numerous contributors played key roles in ensuring the event’s success—from stage design and costumes to music and technical coordination.

Recognition and Closing
At the end of the performance, all cast members were presented with commemorative plaques in recognition of their efforts, marking a memorable conclusion to a night that celebrated youth, culture, and community engagement in Western Thrace.
