Metios: Certain problems still exist, but!...
The governor of AMTH welcomed the Minister of Finance Christos Staikouras and a group of government MPs to the headquarters of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace in Komotini. They held a meeting with deputy regional governors and mandated regional councilors of Rhodope.
In his intervention, Mr. Metios pointed out that despite the repeated crises of recent years, the economic policy of the government, with the reduction of ENFIA, taxes and insurance contributions, as well as business support programs, significantly helped businesses and households.
“Certain problems still exist especially due to the current energy crisis, punctuality and increased inflation. Especially in our Region, which borders two states with lower tax rates, the phenomenon of our fellow citizens frequently going to neighboring states to make purchases is common and creates many problems for local professionals," the regional governor pointed out.
It should be noted that the meeting was held as part of a visit by a delegation of the ND to the prefecture of Rodopi, which, in addition to the Minister of Finance, consisted of the Deputy Minister of Culture, Nikolas Giatromanolakis, the Member of Parliament for Xanthi, Spyros Tsilingiris, the Member of Parliament for Rodopi, Euripides Stylianides, the Member of Parliament for Serres, Fotini Arabatzis and the General Secretary of Primary Health Care, Marios Themistokleous.
