Macedonian Minority Organization awards Western Thracian president

An award was presented to FUEN Vice-President Habipoglu from the Macedonian minority organization “Ilinden-Tirana”.

"Ilinden", the umbrella organization of the Macedonian minority in Albania, presented the 2022 "Ilinden" award to Halit Habipoğlu, Vice President of the Federal Union of European Nations (FUEN) and President the Federation of Western Thrace Turks in Europe (ABTTF), on the occasion of its 13th anniversary.

According to “Ilinden”-Tirana President Nikolla Gjurgjaj and the decision of the Board of Directors, Habipoğlu was awarded this year's "Ilinden" concession together with Canada-based International Macedonian Human Rights Movement (MHRMI) and North Macedonian Ambassador to Tirana Danco Markovski.

The “Ilinden” award is given every year to individuals and/or organizations that make significant contributions to the development of the life, history and culture of the Macedonian national minority living in Albania and to the preservation of the indigenous Macedonian culture.

FUEN Vice President Halit Habipoğlu thanked "Ilinden"-Tirana President Nikolla Gjurgjaj and the Board of Directors in his person, who deemed him worthy of this important award, congratulated "Ilinden"-Tirana's 13th anniversary and wished him success in their future work.
