Laylat al-Miraj observed with strong participation in Paşevik village
The event was attended by prominent figures from the Western Thrace Turkish community, including Mustafa Trampa, President of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Consultative Committee and Mufti of İskeçe, Aykut Ünal, Consul General of Türkiye in Gümülcine, Deputy Consul Umut Yamık, Mayor of Mustafçova Ahmet Kurt, regional council members Fatih İsmailko and Salih Yörük, İskeçe Turkish Union President Kerem Abdurahimoğlu, Hüseyin Baltacı, President of the Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association, Bahri Belço, Deputy Chair of the FEP Party, former Mustafçova Mayor Cemil Kabza, municipal council members, and many members of the local community.
During the program, religious officials from the İskeçe Mufti’s Office recited Mawlid and verses from the Holy Qur’an. In his address, Mufti Mustafa Trampa spoke about the spiritual significance of Laylat al-Miraj, congratulating the congregation and emphasizing that the night’s sacred atmosphere strengthens unity and solidarity within the community.
Consul General Aykut Ünal also addressed attendees, expressing his satisfaction at being with the Western Thrace Turks on such a meaningful and blessed occasion.
Following the event, Mufti Trampa shared a message on social media stating:
“This evening, we observed Laylat al-Miraj in one of our beautiful villages, Paşevik, with great enthusiasm and warmth. We thank the villagers, the board of trustees, and our religious officials for their hospitality. May Allah bless our worship and this sacred night.”
The Consulate General of Türkiye in Gümülcine also shared a post confirming its participation in the Laylat al-Miraj program held in Paşevik.
The program concluded with prayers and well wishes, leaving a strong sense of spiritual fulfillment among participants.
