Late mufti Ahmet Mete to be commemorated at his gravesite
The Mufti Office of İskeçe has announced a commemoration ceremony to honor the late Mufti Ahmet Mete, marking the third anniversary of his passing.
According to the official statement released by the Mufti Office, the event will take place on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 7:00 PM, at Aşağı Mahalle Cemetery in İskeçe, where Mufti Mete is buried.
Program Details:
Recitation of the Qur’an:
Local religious officials have already completed the distribution and recitation of the Qur’anic sections (cüz), and the collective completion (hatim) will be acknowledged during the ceremony.
Main Commemoration at the Gravesite:
- Hatim prayer (du'a) for the late Mufti
- Protocol speeches from community leaders and officials
The Mufti Office emphasized that the entire Muslim Turkish community of Western Thrace is warmly invited to attend and honor the memory of Mufti Ahmet Mete, who played a significant role in representing and serving the community.
