Ladies in Western Thrace hold event for Berat Night
The Women’s Guidance Team Adult Women’s Coordination of the Mufti’s Office of Gümülcine organized a special Berat Night program on Thursday, February 13, at Bıyıklıköy Mosque.
The program commenced with a welcoming speech by Halime Mehmetali, the head of the Women's Guidance Team.
Following this, Qur'an Course Instructors Hatice Candan Binbaşı, Makbule Nizam, and Reyhan Kuru recited Qur’an verses and hymns, along with their translations. Additionally, Şeyda Koca Mustafa, an adult course student from Mastanlı, recited the poem “The Absolution of Hz. Wahshi.”
Preacher and Qur’an Course Instructor Selma Veli Ahmet delivered a speech on the significance of Berat Night, the night when the Qur’an was revealed to the heavens. The event continued with the recitation of short surahs by Qur’an Course Instructor Aliye Salih and concluded with a prayer led by Instructor Saliha Kabaali.
At the end of the event, attendees were offered dates and kandil simidi as refreshments.
