Kozlukebir Mayor Erdem Hüseyin attends special meeting in Brussels
The meeting was also attended by Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Regional Governor Hristodoulos Topsidis.
In a written statement shared on his social media account, Mayor Hüseyin emphasized the importance of the event, stating:
"On Tuesday, October 8, a special meeting was held in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, in connection with the European Week of Regions and Cities. The purpose of the meeting, held at the event hall of Greece's Permanent Representation to the EU, was to strengthen the presence of the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region in the heart of European developments. It was a significant step towards promoting regional development at the European level and reinforcing the region's relations with European institutions.
As the Mayor of Kozlukebir, I participated in this meeting, where our Regional Governor, Mr. Topsidis, pointed out that the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace office in Brussels will now operate more actively and in coordination with our municipalities. Moving forward, our goal is to make the most of EU programs and funds to improve the living conditions of our people and promote the development of our region."
The meeting marked a key moment for regional leaders to engage with European initiatives and seek greater support for local projects.
