Komotini Turkish Youth Union New Generation Branch Members meet for breakfast

The event organised by the board of directors of the New Generation Branch, which continues its activities under the umbrella of the Komotini Turkish Youth Union, took place with the intense participation of young people from the centre of Komotini and the villages it is affiliated to. Information was given about the activities of the New Generation Branch and the history of the association.

The President of the New Generation Branch, Şule Ahmet, said in her speech: "First of all, welcome to you all. Especially there are new friends who have joined us. We would also like to welcome them. Previously, friends who have participated know that we organise this breakfast event every year with the aim of getting together and getting acquainted. Before the friends introduce themselves, I would like to give you some information about the New Generation Branch.

Our main priority is to be the biggest high school student platform in Western Thrace and to organise the Turkish youth of Western Thrace for the interests of the minority on a common ground. As the New Generation Branch, our activities are generally focused on education and culture. We have many activities that we have targeted and planned with this year's Board Members. We often organise cultural trips, get-togethers and strive to be together with our friends. Our aim is to gather the Turkish youth living in and around Komotini under one roof and to provide them with the opportunity to get to know themselves and our community more closely. With the activities, events and activities you will participate in, you will improve yourself and contribute to the preservation of our culture and traditions that have lasted for centuries in these lands even after generations.

You should know that I and my friends are ready to do our best for the realisation of this aim and to act by taking into consideration your wishes and demands. As the board of directors of the New Generation Branch, we will try to represent the youth of Western Thrace Turks in the best way and we will be with you whenever you need us."

At the breakfast organised, young people had the opportunity to introduce themselves and express their demands and requests. Mutual exchange of ideas and consultations were held about the projects to be organised in the coming days.
