Ketenlik Children’s Reading Club in İskeçe hosts outdoor ‘The Little Prince’ event
The Ketenlik Children's Reading Club, operating under the Mufti's Office of İskeçe, organized an outdoor reading event to encourage children to develop reading habits and engage with classic literature.
Held in a natural setting, participants read and discussed The Little Prince, the renowned classic by French author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The session focused on the book's central themes, including friendship, love, responsibility, dedication and the importance of seeing with the heart.
Children shared their thoughts on the story and reflected on how its messages relate to their own lives. Organizers said the activity aimed to strengthen children's connection with books, promote a culture of reading and encourage collaborative learning.
The program concluded with an emphasis on reading as a means of developing critical thinking, communication skills and a deeper understanding of life beyond acquiring knowledge.
