Kakulidis, president of the Pontus Sports Union, to sue "Western Thrace"!
Mihalis Kakulidis, President of the Rhodope province Kafkasköy (Thrilorio) Pontus Sports Union, reacted to the expression "Western Thrace" in the name of the Western Thrace Fenerbahce Association, which was established recently.
Kakulidis stated that the Western Thrace Fenerbahce Association will initiate legal action to revoke the court's approval, and announced that he would request the judge who gave the association a work permit to be removed from Komotini.
According to the news in the local and national press, Kakulidis stated that the expression "Western Thrace" is an unacceptable expression in Greece and that he will initiate legal action.
The local and national press quoted Kakulidis' post on his private social media account as follows:
“Little cats, listen carefully; whoever signed the approval of this sports association should be removed from Komotini immediately. We know the opinions of some Greek citizens who belong to different religions from ours.
It is unacceptable and very strange that an association based in Komotini is allowed to run in Western Thrace terminology.
Thrace in Greece is one and no one can come and adopt Erdogan's terminology.
I will personally take legal action. I'm going to file a complaint with the court and request the annulment of the decision.
I invite everyone who is interested in Komotini to do the same.”
