The residents of Çelebiköy, a village under the administration of Kozlukebir Municipality, continued their long-standing tradition of marking Laylat al-Qadr with a communal iftar gathering. The event, held on Tuesday, March 26, brought together a large number of attendees in the village square.
Distinguished guests at the iftar included Dr. Süleyman Taş, a religious official from the Kocaeli Mufti’s Office in Turkey, along with Gümülcine Deputy Mufti Fehim Ahmet, FEP Party Vice President Koray Bağdatlı, EMT Deputy Regional President Rıdvan Hacı Mehmet, Komotini Turkish Youth Union President Sedat Hasan, Kozlukebir Mayor Erdem Hüseyin, the opposition leader of the Umut List, Tarkan Multaza, as well as several municipal council members and residents from surrounding villages.
The event commenced with a recitation of the Qur’an by religious officials, including Dr. Süleyman Taş. As the Maghrib call to prayer was recited by Sezgin Küçük Ahmet, attendees broke their fast together. The iftar prayer was led by Dr. Süleyman Taş.
Following the meal, guests gathered at the Çelebiköy Mosque to perform the Maghrib prayer and participate in a special prayer session dedicated to Laylat al-Qadr.
This meaningful event once again highlighted the strong community bonds and spiritual unity of the Çelebiköy residents during the holy month of Ramadan.
