"Junta Wind" continues at Xanthi Central Turkish Minority Primary School

No permission was given by the Xanthi Primary School Directorate for the talk that the PTA wanted to organise at the Xanthi Central Turkish Minority Primary School within the scope of the project "Experts Tell Us, We Learn" and in which Pediatrician Münevver Ago was to participate as a speaker.

The statements of Hüseyin Baltacı, Chairman of the School's Board of Councillors, on his social media account as "The Junta Wind Netflix series continues with new episodes under the direction of Kalantzis" became a public agenda.

Doors closed to parents

When the organisers and those who wanted to participate in the event went to the school on Wednesday evening, 21 February, they found that the doors were locked. Therefore, the PTA organised the event at the Xanthi Turkish Union as before.

At the event, Pediatrician Münevver Ago made a presentation on "Recent Common Epidemics and Prevention Methods" and answered questions from the audience. Many parents of students attended the event.

Regarding the issue, Xanthi Central Turkish Minority Primary School Board of Councillors and Parent-Teacher Association issued a written statement. The following statements were made in the statement:

"This evening we gathered at our school to listen to the guest of our 'Experts Tell Us, We Learn' project, the valuable Pediatrician Doctor Münevver Ago. Unfortunately, we had to experience the scandal we experienced in the previous event again. The doors of our school were not opened to us parents once again and we had to hold our conversation at the Xanthi Turkish Union clubhouse. We would like to thank Ozan Ahmetoğlu, President of the Xanthi Turkish Union, who opened the doors of our institution to us, and Münevver Ago, Pediatrician Doctor Münevver Ago."

"New Netflix series directed by Kalancis"

On his social media account, Hüseyin Baltacı, Chairman of the Xanthi Central Turkish Primary School Board of Councillors, evaluated in his own unique style the fact that the parents were once again denied permission for the event they wanted to organise.

Baltacı used the following statements that became a public agenda:

"New series on Netflix! An ironic deputy principal of an elementary school, an inexplicably democratic principal of primary education... Director: G. Kalantzis. "Junta Wind" continues with new episodes...  We continue to come to our school and stay at the door to realise our event.
