Joyful iftar gathering in Koyunköy

An atmosphere of joy and unity marked the iftar gathering in Koyunköy, Xanthi, on the evening of March 26. Organized by the Xanthi Muftiate with contributions from the local community, the event brought together numerous attendees, including representatives of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority and esteemed guests from Turkey.
The Advisory Board Chairman and esteemed Mufti of Xanthi, Mustafa Trampa, participated in the gathering, held in Koyunköy in the Yaka region. The event also saw the attendance of officials from Turkey's Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, alongside the President and executives of the Western Thrace Turks Solidarity Association’s General Headquarters and Izmit Branch.
The iftar program, which garnered significant interest, was further graced by the presence of Turkish Consul General in Komotini, Aykut Ünal, Xanthi MPs Burhan Baran and Hüseyin Zeybek, as well as numerous institutional leaders and community members.
In his speech, Mufti Trampa emphasized the spiritual significance of Laylat al-Qadr, the blessed night considered more valuable than a thousand months, and extended his heartfelt wishes to all attendees. He also expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the successful organization of the iftar.
The event once again highlighted the strong sense of unity and cultural heritage among the Turkish minority in Western Thrace.
