ITB Youth Branch distributes flatbread to mark the start of the Three Sacred Months
Members of the Youth Branch of the İskeçe Turkish Union (ITB) organized a meaningful social responsibility event to mark the beginning of the Three Sacred Months in the Islamic calendar.
The event took place on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025, in the city center of İskeçe, where young volunteers distributed pide (traditional flatbread) to local shopkeepers and citizens in need.
During the distribution, the youth also reached out to underprivileged members of the Turkish minority, passersby, and elderly residents in the area. The initiative was warmly received by the public and praised for promoting a culture of sharing and solidarity.
Members of the ITB Youth Branch stated that the aim of the event was both to strengthen social cohesion and to reflect the spiritual atmosphere of the Three Sacred Months through concrete action. They emphasized that values such as cooperation and generosity should be practiced not only in words but also through active engagement.
Local shopkeepers also expressed their appreciation for the initiative, thanking the youth for their thoughtful and exemplary conduct.
Önder Şabanoğlu, Head of the ITB Youth Branch, extended his gratitude to all those who provided financial support for the event and noted that similar social and cultural activities would continue in the coming period.
