İskeçe Turkish Union youth launch new term strongly: Consul General Aykut Ünal as first guest
The İskeçe Turkish Union (İTU) Youth Branch successfully held the first event of the third term of its “Youth Meetings” series on Tuesday, 16 December, at the İskeçe Turkish Union premises, drawing strong participation.
The initiative, which aims to bring young people together with accomplished figures from various fields, welcomed its first guest of the new term: Aykut Ünal, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Gümülcine.
The event opened with welcoming remarks by Sudem Ömer, President of the İTU Youth Branch, and Kerem Abdürahimoğlu, President of the İskeçe Turkish Union. In their speeches, they emphasized the importance of such gatherings in contributing to the social, cultural, and intellectual development of young people.
Held on the occasion of World Turkic Language Family Day, the meeting addressed key themes such as the preservation of language and identity, the importance of education, and current challenges faced by youth.
Consul General Aykut Ünal engaged in an open and sincere discussion with participants, answering questions and exchanging views with the young attendees. The event, marked by lively interest, provided an opportunity for youth to directly voice their thoughts and concerns in an interactive setting.
The meeting was followed with keen interest by participants and marked a meaningful and strong start to the new term of the Youth Meetings organized by the İskeçe Turkish Union Youth Branch.
