İskeçe Turkish Union Youth hosts meaningful republic night celebration
The Turkish community of Western Thrace celebrated the 101st anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye with great enthusiasm.
A special event titled “Republic Night”, organized by the Youth Branch of the İskeçe Turkish Union (İTB), took place on Saturday evening, October 25, at the İskeçe Turkish Union premises.
The event drew a large audience and was attended by Turkish Consul General in Komotini Aykut Ünal and his wife İlayda Ünal, President of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board and Mufti of İskeçe Mustafa Trampa, President of the İskeçe Turkish Union Kerem Abdurrahimoğlu, FEP Party President Çiğdem Asafoğlu, President of the Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association (BTAYTD) Hüseyin Baltacı, and President of the Gümülcine Turkish Youth Union (GTGB) Sedat Hasan.
The Turkish Consulate General in Gümülcine shared a post on social media regarding the event, stating:
“We attended the Republic Night, a beautifully organized event hosted by the Youth Branch of the İskeçe Turkish Union.”
Mufti of İskeçe Mustafa Trampa also expressed his appreciation on social media, writing:
“Last night we attended the Republic Night organized by the İskeçe Turkish Union Youth Branch. We thank everyone who contributed. May our youth always walk on the path of success.”
The event reflected the strong sense of pride, unity, and cultural connection of Western Thrace’s Turkish youth as they celebrated the Republic’s 101st anniversary.
