İskeçe Turkish Union Youth Branch holds Ramadan iftar gathering
The Youth Branch of the İskeçe Turkish Union gathered for a traditional Ramadan iftar dinner on Monday, February 23, at the association’s headquarters, reinforcing solidarity among young members of the Turkish minority in Western Thrace.
Organized at the premises of the İskeçe Türk Birliği (ITB), the event has become an annual tradition, offering young participants the opportunity to experience the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan together.
The program brought together board members and youth representatives of the ITB Youth Branch, who broke their fast with dishes prepared through their own contributions and by their families. The evening unfolded in a warm and sincere environment, strengthening bonds of unity and community engagement.
Among those in attendance were ITB President Kerem Abdurahimoğlu, ITB Youth Branch President Sudem Ömer, ITB Secretary Ümit Farzlı, and Youth Branch Coordinator and Education Officer Önder Şabanoğlu, alongside youth executives and members.
The gathering highlighted the active role of young people within the İskeçe Turkish Union and underscored the importance of maintaining cultural and religious traditions through community-driven initiatives during Ramadan.
