İskeçe Turkish Union President meets Western Thrace Students at GAT Selanik Office
The President of the İskeçe Turkish Union (İTB), Kerem Abdurahimoğlu, paid an official visit to the Selanik office of the Young Academics Community (GAT), where he met with Western Thrace students currently studying in Selanik.
The meeting took place on Thursday, February 5, 2026, and brought together GAT President Hilmi Eren Sait along with university students from Western Thrace pursuing higher education in the city.
Focus on Education, Future Planning, and Solidarity
During the gathering, participants exchanged views on students’ academic journeys, career and future planning, and the broader importance of community solidarity. The discussion highlighted the challenges faced by Western Thrace students studying away from home, as well as the role of organized civil society in supporting youth through education and professional development.
