İskeçe Mufti Office marks Mother’s Day with visits to elderly mothers
As part of the program, Family Unit representatives and religious officials visited elderly women in their homes throughout İskeçe. During the visits, mothers were presented with flowers and copies of the Quran, while Mother’s Day greetings and heartfelt conversations highlighted the emotional significance of the occasion.
Organizers emphasized that motherhood represents values such as sacrifice, patience, compassion, and prayer, describing it as one of society’s most respected and meaningful roles. The initiative also underscored the importance of honoring elders, seeking their blessings, and preserving strong intergenerational bonds within the community.
In a statement released by the Family Unit, officials noted that İskeçe Mufti Mustafa Trampa places special importance on strengthening the family institution, showing respect and loyalty to elders, and maintaining spiritual ties between generations.
The statement further stressed that such social outreach programs play an important role in reinforcing solidarity and strengthening the community’s moral and spiritual values.
