Inter-ministerial meets on fire fighting in Alexandroupoli
The Regional President of Eastern Macedonia Thrace (EMT), Christodoulos Topsidis, participated in an inter-ministerial meeting on fire-fighting preparedness with the participation of the Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Vasilis Kikilyas, and the Minister of Defence, Nikos Dendias.
The meeting, which took place in Alexandroupoli, aimed to ensure the best possible coordination of all organisations involved in the prevention, management and response to potential fires during the fire fighting season.
It was noted that the cooperation between the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection on natural disaster management is expected to be implemented for the first time in the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region and set an example for other regions of the country.
Topsidis thanked both ministers for their initiatives.
