Inhanlı Municipality supports demands of farmers and livestock breeders
The Municipality of Inhanlı has expressed strong support for the demands of local farmers and livestock breeders following an extraordinary Municipal Council meeting held on Thursday, December 4.
During the session, the Council reviewed the difficulties faced in the agriculture and livestock sectors, noting that producers are struggling with rising production costs, low market prices, natural disasters, livestock diseases, delayed compensation payments, heavy tax and insurance burdens, and inadequate infrastructure.
The Municipality emphasized that the demands of farmers and livestock breeders are legitimate and called on the government and relevant ministries to immediately engage in dialogue with producers to develop practical and effective solutions. The council highlighted the need for the following measures:
- Reduction of production and energy costs,
- Fair pricing and market regulation,
- Prompt payment of compensation for agricultural and livestock-related damages,
- Provision of feed support,
- Improvement of irrigation and livestock infrastructure,
- Effective protection measures against natural disasters and epidemics.
The Municipality of Inhanlı stated that it will actively support all initiatives aimed at improving the living and working conditions of producers. The resolution will be forwarded to the Prime Minister, relevant ministries, regional MPs, and local producer associations.
