Honorary Consul of the Netherlands visits Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region

The Honorary Consul of the Netherlands in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Ms. Dimitra Marina Georgamli, paid an official visit to the city of Kavala, where she was received by the Mayor, Mr. Theodoros Mouriadis.

During their meeting at Kavala City Hall, the discussion centered on strategic issues concerning the broader developmental potential of the region. Special emphasis was placed on exploring opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange in the primary sector, highlighting the high-quality agricultural production of the area and its export potential to the Dutch market.

The talks also addressed port infrastructure and current developments in the energy sector, with a focus on sustainable growth and the green transition. Both parties acknowledged the region’s capacity to serve as a hub for innovation and investment attraction in these areas.

Ms. Georgamli reiterated her commitment to strengthening Greek-Dutch relations at both local and regional levels, underlining the importance of bilateral cooperation in fields of mutual interest.
