Gümülcine Municipality Participates in “S.M.ALL – Sustainable Mobility for All” Project Final Meeting in Bucharest
Gümülcine Municipality took part in the final meeting of the “S.M.ALL – Sustainable Mobility for All” project, held on 25–26 November in Bucharest, Romania. Representatives from eight European cities attended the event, which focused on the future of joint initiatives in sustainable transport and accessibility.
The municipality was represented by members of the Local Action Group and Deputy Mayor Kimonas Lehudis, responsible for sanitation and recycling.
During the two-day program, all project partners signed the Cooperation Memorandum titled “Sustainable Mobility for All”, formalizing their commitment to continue collaboration on sustainable transport policies.
The agenda included:
- Evaluation of the project’s progress
- Results of pilot implementations
- The current state of urban mobility in Europe
- Future funding opportunities
Presentations were also given on related URBACT network projects and other initiatives focused on similar themes.
Although the S.M.ALL project officially concludes on 31 December 2025, the agreement signed among municipalities ensures that joint efforts in sustainable mobility and accessible urban development will continue.
Gümülcine Municipality emphasized that its active participation in the project supports the creation of a more inclusive, environmentally friendly urban infrastructure, improving citizens’ daily lives.
