GTGB New Generation Branch organizes trip to Ankara
The New Generation Branch of the Komotini Turkish Youth Union (GTGB) organized a trip to Ankara from December 26 to 29, 2024. The group, which included GTGB President Sedat Hasan, board members, and New Generation Branch members, along with students, had the opportunity to visit significant landmarks and institutions.
Highlights of the Trip
Day 1:
The group visited the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), where they met with YTB President Abdullah Eren. During the meeting, information about the Türkiye Scholarships program was shared, and a productive exchange of ideas took place.
Day 2:
The itinerary included visits to Anıtkabir, the Turkish Grand National Assembly (Gazi Meclisi), the II. Turkish Grand National Assembly Republic Museum, the Presidential National Library, and the July 15 Democracy Museum, offering participants a deeper understanding of Ankara’s cultural and historical significance.
Day 3:
The group traveled to Konya, visiting the Mevlana Museum, the Alâeddin Mosque (one of the largest mosques of the Seljuk Empire), the Karatay Madrasa (now the Konya Museum of Tiles), the Konya Tropical Butterfly Garden (featuring the largest butterfly flight zone in Europe), and the Konya Science Center.
