GTGB new board pays courtesy visit to Turkish Consulate General in Gümülcine

Gümülcine Turkish Youth Union newly elected leadership paid a courtesy visit to the Turkish Consulate General in Gümülcine, meeting with Consul General Aykut Ünal on May 21, 2026.
The visit followed the organization’s ordinary general assembly held on May 17, where Sedat Hasan was re-elected as president along with the new board and supervisory committee members.
During the meeting, the delegation discussed the role of the association as one of the long-established civil society institutions representing the Turkish minority in Western Thrace.
According to a statement shared on the official social media account of the Turkish Consulate General in Komotini, the delegation was welcomed warmly, and the new board was wished success in its upcoming term.
The Consulate emphasized the historical and cultural importance of the organization within the minority community and expressed support for its continued activities.
