Funeral prayer in absentia performed in Western Thrace
Funeral prayers were performed in absentia in mosques in Western Thrace for the innocent Palestinian Muslims who lost their lives in the massacre carried out by the Israeli state in Gaza.
With the decision taken by the Advisory Board of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority, which condemned Israel's oppression against the Palestinian people, the issue of the human tragedy experienced by the innocent Palestinian Muslims who faced the brutal massacre of the Israeli state was discussed in the Friday sermons read in the mosques in Komotini, Xanthi and Evros provinces in Western Thrace.
In addition to the sermon, Western Thrace compatriots lined up in mosques and performed funeral prayers in absentia for the Palestinian Muslims who lost their lives in the massacre caused by Israel.
At Komotini Old Mosque, Deputy Mufti Fehim Ahmet read the sermon to the congregation who attended the Friday prayer and led the Friday prayer. The funeral prayer in absentia was performed by İbrahim Şerif, Chairman of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board and Mufti of Komotini.
Mufti İbrahim Şerif first explained to the congregation the initial process of the funeral prayer in absentia and then how to make the intention. Then, he became an imam to the congregation and performed the funeral prayer in absentia for the deceased Palestinian Muslims.
