Former Turkish Parliament Speaker Mustafa Şentop visits İskeçe Mufti’s Office in Western Thrace
Şentop, accompanied by a delegation, traveled to the region to meet with members of the Turkish Muslim minority community and hold a series of engagements. The delegation was warmly welcomed at the İskeçe Mufti’s Office, where discussions reportedly took place in a cordial and constructive atmosphere.
The meeting was attended by Aykut Ünal, Consul General of Türkiye in Gümülcine, and İbrahim Şerif.
Following the visit, Mustafa Trampa released a statement highlighting the importance of the meeting.
“Today, we had the honor of hosting former Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şentop, together with his esteemed delegation at our Mufti’s Office. Turkish Consul General in Gümülcine Aykut Ünal and Komotini Mufti İbrahim Şerif were also present during the meeting,” Trampa stated.
The visit is being viewed as part of broader efforts to strengthen ties and maintain dialogue with the Turkish Muslim minority community in Western Thrace.
