Authorities have confirmed that a fire which broke out earlier this morning near the Kalkanca district of Gümülcine has been brought under control.

The firefighting operation involved 22 vehicles, 82 firefighters, three ground teams from the 7th EMODE unit, three helicopters, and two aircraft, along with volunteers from the Red Cross. Local government water tankers, heavy machinery, and army units also assisted in the effort.
Officials urged residents to remain cautious and to follow safety instructions issued by the authorities.
