FEP Party: 'The scales of justice continue to weigh against the minority'
The Friendship, Equality, and Peace (FEP) Party reacted to the court's decision to terminate the prosecution of four members of the Golden Dawn Party who raided an event organised in Athens in 2016 together with the Helsinki Human Rights Watch Committee.
On Saturday 29 April, in a written statement, the party said: "The court decided to terminate the prosecution on the grounds that the criminal complaint was not duly filed. With this unfortunate court decision, we would like to share with the public that we have once again regretfully seen that the scales of justice continue to weigh against the minority."
The statement made by the FEP Party is as follows:
"On 28 April 2023, almost seven years later, the trial of the lawsuit filed against our former President Mustafa Ali Cavus for threatening our former President Mustafa Ali Cavus with death by the Golden Dawn Party MPs who raided the event we organised together with 'Helsinki Watch' in Athens on 12 December 2016 was held on 28 April 2023. The court decided to terminate the prosecution on the grounds that the criminal complaint was not duly filed. With this unfortunate court decision, we would like to share with the public that we have once again regretfully seen that the scales of justice continue to weigh against the minority."
