An exhibition was organised for the works of children and young people at primary, middle and high school level who were trained by the course teachers working in courses such as painting, ceramics and quilling operating within the body of the Komotini Turkish Youth Union. The exhibition was opened at 19.00 on Thursday evening at the GTGB clubhouse. The opening speech of the exhibition was made by GTGB President Sedat Hasan. Sedat Hasan shared his feelings and thoughts with the participants about the courses and the work carried out under the roof of the association and said: "The aim of our courses is to reveal the culture, art and handicraft skills that exist in the society, to introduce them to our people and to develop the handicraft skills of our young people and to bring them to the Turkish community in Western Thrace as conscious and successful individuals in their future lives. Another important point is to prevent bad habits that our children may acquire by enabling them to spend quality social time under the roof of our association. At this point, our mission is to reach the maximum number of children by increasing the number of our social activity courses."
President Hasan thanked the course teachers Aslı Ali, Zeynep Tevfikoğlu and Sibel Gülistan and all the trainees who contributed to the education of children by carrying out activities and studies in the artistic field.
At the exhibition opening, course teachers Zeynep Tevfikoğlu, Aslı Ali, and Sibel Gülistan also took the floor and welcomed the students, their families and other participants. They gave information about the work done with the students throughout the year and thanked everyone who contributed to the courses to be held atfik.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by Consul General of Turkey in Komotini Aykut Ünal and his wife İlayda Ünal, Rhodope MP Özgür Ferhat, Deputy Chairman of the FEP Party Metin Hacıosman, President of the Association of Religious Officers of Western Thrace Mosques Erol Yoluç, President of the Western Thrace Minority South Evros Education and Culture Association Mahmut Hüseyin and many art lovers.
The exhibition will remain open until Saturday evening, 6 July.
