Entry to some areas in Rhodope province banned today due to fire risk
According to the Fire Risk Forecast Map published by the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, the province of Rhodope is today among the regions with a high risk of fire in category 3.
Therefore, a statement was issued by the Office of the Rhodope Unit of the Prefecture of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.
The statement said that in accordance with Article 130 of Law 4926/2022, it has been decided to implement the measure of prohibition of passage, accommodation and movement of persons and vehicles in the following forest areas.
According to the statement, the areas banned for entry today are as follows:
1- Nimfe forest of Komotini Municipality.
2- The forest area in the coastal area of Oake in Komotini Municipality.
3- The recreation area ‘Profiti Ilias’ in the west of the settlement of Yassıköy in Yassıköy Municipality.
4- Alsos area located on the borders of Sapci in Maronia-Sapçı Municipality.
5- Touristic forest area in the Imaret area of Maronia-Shapchi Municipality.
6- Forest in the coastal area in Imaret in the Municipality of Maronia-Shapchi.
7- The forest in the coastal area of Krioneri in the Municipality of Maronia-Shapchi.
